Q. What is the difference between a standard asset label and a security label?
A. A standard asset label (our budget asset labels and four of our custom asset labels) do not leave any evidence that they have been tampered with - They can be removed without crumbling or leaving behind a design. Whereas our security asset tags come in a variety of different types; one that crumbles when picked at and ones that leave a design behind - including VOID, chains and chequerboards.
Q. Are they waterproof?
A. All of our asset labels are laminated, so a quick wipe over with a damp cloth will cause no damage. Full submersion in water for a long period of time will cause the labels to peel away.
Q. What information can be put on my asset labels?
A. For our customisable asset tags, we recommend that you add your company address and even a contact number to keep your assets extra safe.
Q. Why use Asset Tags? What are they used for?
A. Asset Labels are used in businesses, schools and local authorities to make it easier to track their valuable items and equipment. They can be used to protect IT equipment in the education sector, medical equipment in hospitals, heating apparatus for local councils and retail products in warehouses. Perfect for insurance purposes, aids the police in robbery investigations, keeps stock under control, is a deterrent. This is just a handful of their uses.
Q. What should be tagged?
A. Any kind of asset for your company that you want to monitor - for security purposes, stock control and maintenance logs.
Q. What type of Asset should be used for what?
A. All of our Asset Tags can be used in a multitude of scenarios. We do recommend the higher value the item is that is being marked, the higher spec the Asset Tag should be used - for extra peace of mind.
Q. How are your Asset Marking Labels printed?
A. We have a plethora of processes that can be used, in house, which include digital printing, hot foil, thermal ribbon. What process is used is determined by the colour, type and quantity of the labels.
Q. How are the labels supplied?
A. Depending on the process that has been used to produce them, they are either supplied in sheets or on rolls. You can find out how each individual product will be supplied by checking the "Further Information" section of each product.
Q. Can the adhesive cause irritation?
A. Yes the adhesive can cause mild irritation to the skin. Once the label has been removed it should improve. If not and symptoms persist, please seek medical help / self treat.
Q. Is there a minimum order quantity?
A. Yes, there is. Minimum order quantity is 250 labels.
Q. What are your delivery times?
A. 5-10 working days as standard (this is dependent on artwork approval, stock levels, delays with delivery services etc). Stocked items are despatched in 1-2 working days.
Q. How are they despatched?
A. DPD and Royal Mail, depending on the quantity and value of the order.
